Dining Facilities

The Lodge offers all cooking facilities and utensils for a great dining experience. Prepare salad dressings in advance to ensure you are ready for the meals after coming back from your game drives.

Breakfast table is set every morning at the 'Lapa'.

Dinner table is set every evening at the 'Boma' or you can choose to eat around the fire on a portable table mat.

'Lapa' Dining

Lapa Dining Central to the lodge is the spacious lounge ‘Lapa’ surrounded by fireplaces in an open set up that has been thatched in the traditional style overlooking the river and hippo pools. Here is where you meet before your game drive early in the morning, awaking at sunrise after a peaceful night’s sleep, and enjoy hot coffee and a light breakfast before you head into the Bush with your expert Field Guide and Tracker to explore a world of wildlife that only an African Safari can provide.

Followed by a nice brunch where guests can prepare their dishes and enjoy a variety of mouth-watering traditional African-inspired meals.

Next to the Lapa is the ‘boma’ - dining area.  A tall old semi-evergreen wild trees in the center gives shade on sunny days. Here is a welcoming camp fire which is lit each evening as the sun goes down and guests and guides meet around the fire to share the latest stories of wildlife encounters or, simply to listen to the sounds of the bush.
